Dear members of Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East,
I would like to start by thanking each and every member of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island East who has nurtured our esteemed club over the past 70 years and continue to do so. Although I was not there all those years, I have the conviction to contribute and feel the passion to lead our club on its path to continued growth. I want to be part of the ones that handed over a very prestige club to generations to come. I am honoured, most grateful and humble as the President of our club in Rotary Year 2024-25.
I would like to show my gratitude to IPP Rico and his Board Members, Chairs and Advisors in the past two years for their hard work and dedication. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our new Board Members and Chairs and a special thank you to our Club Advisors PDG YK, PDG Norman and PP Council Chair PP George. Please continue to support us in the coming Rotary Year.
Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick’s presidential theme is “The Magic of Rotary” for 2024-25 and called on members to recognize and amplify the organization’s power to save lives. My theme, if we would need one for our club, is I would like all of us to be proud of being a Rotarian.
Let us Build Bridges and Connect People both locally and worldwide as we continue to show them “The Magic of Rotary”. Every member’s effort and involvement are essential to make this happen! Let us work together and look forward to a magical year ahead of us!
